Brown comber (Lat. Serranus hepatus). A demersal species that lives above different bottoms up to 300 m and most often 30-140 m. It grows up to 15 cm, mostly 5.5-12 cm. The head occupies almost one third of the body. The mouth is therefore, proportionally, very big. It hunts small fishes, cephalopods, crustaceans and annelids. It is a hermaphrodite species. It is fished with a nets and a hook.
